NFCA All-Region Teams Select 26 Big 12 Players

For the second consecutive year, student-athletes from all seven Big 12 softball programs landed NFCA All-Region honors. A total of 26 players were recognized, including a Conference-leading eight selections from Oklahoma.

Thirteen players earned first team recognition, led by Baylor and Oklahoma with four apiece. Oklahoma State received three first team nods, while Texas and Texas Tech each notched one.

The awards were voted on by NFCA member coaches from each respective region. With the honor, student-athletes will become eligible for the 2018 NFCA Division I All-American squad, which will be announced Wednesday, May 30 at approximately 4 p.m. CT on NFCA.org.
