Four Big 12 Teams Advance at NCAA Men's Golf Championships

Four Big 12 men’s golf teams finished in the top eight of stroke play to advance to match play at the NCAA Championships. The Big 12 is the second conference to send four teams to match play since the format began in 2009, and the third conference to send at least three teams to match play in back to back years.


Oklahoma State shot a four-round total of 1152 (E) to finish stroke play in first place and will play No. 8 Texas A&M in the opening round. Texas Tech is seeded No. 3 after shooting 1161 (+9). The Red Raiders will face No. 6 Alabama.


Defending national champion Oklahoma finished stroke place in fourth with a score of 1163 (+11) and will play No. 5 Auburn. Finally, Texas finished in a sixth-place tie with Alabama at score of 1168 (+16) and will play No. 2 Duke.
