Four Big 12 Soccer Squads Make Top-25 for Fourth Consecutive Week

For the fourth consecutive week, 40 percent of Big 12 teams rank in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, which is the most among autonomy conference teams.

Texas leads the group at No. 14, after winning both matches over the weekend against Texas State (2-1) and Houston Baptist (4-0). The Longhorns’ win over the Huskies stretched the team’s non-conference home winning streak to 14 straight matches.

Kansas appears in the poll for the fourth straight week at No. 18 after a 0-0 draw with Cincinnati. The draw marked the Jayhawks first unbeaten start to a season following seven games since 2014.

No. 20 Oklahoma State and No. 24 Texas Tech also represent the conference in the top 25. The Cowgirls won 3-1 against California and 3-0 against San Francisco. The Red Raiders led the Big 12 with ten goals over the weekend with wins against FIU (6-0) and Oregon State (4-0).

The last weekend of non-conference play starts on Thursday, September 13, with five matchups. Big 12 Conference play is set to begin on Friday, September 21, with five matchups.
