Five Big 12 soccer student-athletes were honored as members of the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team, selected by CoSIDA.
Team members represent the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Those honored included Camryn Wendlandt (Baylor), Kaycie Young (Kansas), Brooke Denesik (Texas Tech), Paige Welch (Oklahoma) and Bianca St. Georges (West Virginia). All five student-athletes have grade-point averages of 3.93 or higher, with four boasting a 4.00 GPA.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
