Six Soccer Squads End Season Ranked in Top 25 Poll

Six Big 12 programs earned recognition in the final United Soccer Coaches poll. Four teams are ranked in the top 25, while two teams received votes.

Baylor finishes off the season ranked No. 9 after making back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Championship Quarterfinals for the first time in program history. The Bears captured the 2018 regular-season championship, were the 2018 Big 12 Championship runner-up, and set a program record of most wins in a season with 20 victories. 

West Virginia, the 2018 Big 12 Conference Champions, rolls in at No. 14. The Mountaineers captured their fourth Big 12 postseason title and made their 19th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship.

Ranked No. 20, Texas has now appeared in each of the last 24 United Soccer Coaches poll releases dating back to Sept. 12, 2017. Texas Tech also appears in the poll at No. 24 after making it to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the fifth time in program history and first time since 2015.

Additionally, TCU and Kansas received votes in the poll.
