ITA Announces Preseason Tennis Polls

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its preseason poll ahead of the 2019 season, as four Big 12 women’s programs and five men’s programs were ranked.

In the men’s poll, Texas earned a No. 8 national ranking, while Baylor (No. 11), Oklahoma (No. 13), TCU (No. 14) and Oklahoma State (No. 21) garnered spots in the poll. With four programs ranked within the top-15 in the nation, the Big 12 is tied for the most in the nation. Additionally, Texas Tech received votes in the poll, making the Big 12 the only conference to have all of its programs earn a spot in the rankings or receive votes.

The women’s poll saw Texas rank No. 6, while No. 9 Oklahoma State rounded out the top-10 for the Big 12. Kansas (No. 16) and Texas Tech (No. 18) earned spots in the poll.
