Big 12 Golfers Named to 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup Teams

The Arnold Palmer Cup teams for both the International and United States were announced on Wednesday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard at Bay Hill Club & Lodge. A total of eight Big 12 student-athletes were named to the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup Teams; five on the U.S. team and three on the International team.

Quade Cummins (Oklahoma), Austin Eckroat (Oklahoma State) and Texas’ Cole Hammer, Kaitlyn Papp and Hailee Cooper were named to the U.S. team. Agathe Laisne (Texas) and Texas Tech’s Sandy Scott and Ivan Ramirez are represented on the International team.

The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla. in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top male and female university/college golfers matching the United States against Europe.

The 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup matches will be hosted by The Alotian Club in Roland, Ark from June 7-9.
