Five Named WBCA Region Finalists

Five Big 12 women’s basketball student-athletes were named Region 3 finalists for the 2019 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America Honors.

Baylor had two selections as unanimous All-Big 12 First Team honoree Kalani Brown and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Lauren Cox were selected. Iowa State’s Bridget Carleton, the Big 12 Player of the Year, also garnered recognition.

The 2019 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, Vivian Gray of Oklahoma State, was named to the list as well as All-Big 12 First Team selection Tynice Martin of West Virginia.

The WBCA selection committee will select the 10-member WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America team from these 52 candidates.
