Northern Iowa’s Drew Foster won gold at 184 pounds in the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Foster was joined in the finals by Oklahoma State heavyweight Derek White and 133-pounder Daton Fix. A total of six individuals earned top-five finishes over the weekend.
Oklahoma State finished third in the team standings.
Foster’s title marks the first individual champion for UNI in nearly 20 years. In Big 12 history, it’s the first individual champ at the 184 weight division since 2010 and the sixth in that weight class.
