Day One Complete at NCEA Championship

After day one at the NCEA Championship in Waco, Texas, all three Big 12 programs advance to the next round in their respective disciplines.

In Equitation Over Fences, TCU advanced on a bye, while Oklahoma State knocked off the 2019 Big 12 Champions Baylor, with a 3-0 shutout. TCU is set to face Georgia as Oklahoma State will take on SMU in the semifinals of the national championship.

Facing a bye in the Equitation on the Flat discipline, the Baylor Lady Bears automatically advanced to the quarterfinals to face South Carolina, while the Cowgirls advanced to face Texas A&M after a 4-0 victory over Sweet Briar.

The Horsemanship discipline saw all three Big 12 programs advance as Baylor will face Oklahoma State in quarters, while TCU is set to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M.

The quarterfinals at the 2019 NCEA Championship in the Reining discipline will feature OSU vs. Delaware State as the Cowgirls advance on a bye.

Action is set to resume again on Thursday, April 18, at 8:35 a.m. CT with Baylor, Oklahoma State and TCU set to compete. Event championships will continue on Friday, April 19, while team and event championships are set to conclude on Saturday, April 20.
