Baylor, West Virginia and Texas represent the Big 12 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll.
Baylor climbed ten spots from last week to No. 14, the highest ranking for the squad this season, after winning both games over the weekend against West Virginia (1-0) in overtime and Iowa State (2-1) in double overtime. The Bears victory Friday night was the first-ever win over then No. 16-ranked Mountaineers.
West Virginia rolls in at No. 18 after taking down then No. 13-ranked Texas 2-1. Bianca St. Georges pushed the Mountaineers to victory after scoring a pair of goals, just three minutes apart, to overcome a late one-goal deficit.
Texas appears in the United Soccer Coaches poll for the 19th consecutive time at No. 20. Over the weekend, the Longhorns won 2-1 against Iowa State and had a tough loss against West Virginia.
The last three weeks of regular season play continues this Friday, October 12, with five matchups.
