Texas’ Ryan Harty and Jordan Windle and Kansas’ Manon Manning and Vicky Xu claimed the final Big 12 swimming and diving weekly awards for the season.
Harty received Men’s Swimmer of the Week after winning the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:44.28. The junior also placed second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 22.23 seconds.
Windle was tabbed Men’s Diver of the Week for the fifth time this season and 10th in his career, after finishing first in the 1-meter (358.10) and second in the 3-meter (377.00) against No. 5 NC State and No. 15 Arizona. This is the sophomore’s third straight meet that he has taken the 1-meter event.
Manning was awarded Women’s Swimmer of the Week after taking first place in three events. The sophomore swimmer won the 100 backstroke with a personal-best time of 53.70 seconds. She also placed first in the 200 backstroke (1:58.32) and the 400 free relay (3:24.95).
Xu earned Women’s Diver of the Week for breaking two diving records at Arkansas. The senior diver set the Kansas school record, for the second time this season, and the Arkansas pool record in the 3-meter dive to finish first with a score of 398.63.
