All seven softball programs were highlighted on the 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region team. A total of 24 student-athletes were named to the Central and Midwest Region teams, including 11 first team selections.

The awards were voted on by NFCA member coaches from each respective region. With the honor, student-athletes will become eligible for the 2017 NFCA Division I All-American squad.

Oklahoma led the way with seven honorees, good for second-most in the nation. The Sooners were followed by Baylor with six and Oklahoma State with four. Iowa State, Kansas and Texas each earned two spots while Texas Tech produced one honoree.

The All-America teams will be announced Wednesday, May 31 on NFCA.org.
