Five Men's Golf Programs Remain in Pursuit of National Title

Five teams continue on in pursuit of the 2017 NCAA Men's Golf National Championship title. On Wednesday, Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas produced top 5 finishes in Regionals to advance to the finals.

This marks the third time in the last five years that five teams earned NCAA Championship berths (2015, 2013).

Two teams, Baylor and Oklahoma State won its respective Regional. OSU recorded the victory in Austin with a 13-under 839 to extend its nation-leading regional win total to 12. In addition, Baylor tied Stanford for first with a score of -17 (823) in California. O

In the Austin Regional, Texas trailed Oklahoma State by two strokes to earn second place with a -11 (841) mark. ISU rounded out the advancing Big 12 teams from the region after notching third place with 7-under (845). Cyclone Nick Voke was named individual champion after recording a 14-under 199 score, including a 61 during the final round.

Oklahoma finished fourth in the Stanford Regional, rounding out the advancing Big 12 teams. The Sooners tallied a -3 (843) mark over three days and 54 holes of golf. Brad Dalke (OU) produced the individual title with -12 (198).

The NCAA Men's Golf Championship will be held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. May 26-31, following the women's championship.
