Big 12 volleyball will have six representatives on the 2017 U.S. Women’s Collegiate Thailand Tour (CNT-Thailand), USA Volleyball announced on Monday. Four Texas Longhorns and one Kansas Jayhawk made the 12-person squad while UT head coach Jerritt Elliott was named the head coach.
UT’s Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani, Morgan Johnson, Chiaka Ogbogu and Mikaya White along with KU’s Madison Rigdon will join seven other volleyball players from around the nation to compete in Bangkok from May 19-30.
The match schedule will include contests against the Thailand National Team, the Thailand U23 Team and Bangkok Glass, the top team in the Thai professional league.
The team training and competition matches will be at the FIVB Development Center in Bangkok, one of only four centers in Asia.
