Texas A&M Swimmers And Divers Claim Big 12 Weekly Honors

The Texas A&M men's and women's swimming and diving teams captured all of the Big 12 weekly honors this week. Kyle Troskot and Sarah Henry earn their first Big 12 Swimmer of the Week honors, while Grant Nel was named the Big 12 Diver of the Week for the first time. Women's diver Jaele Patrick claims her fourth conference honor in three seasons.

Men's Swimmer of the Week
Kyle Troskot, Texas A&M, Fr., Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
Troskot placed first in the 200 freestyle against Indian River and Nova Southeastern with a time of 1:44.24. He then went on to claim four more first-place finishes against Florida Atlantic. He topped the 50 freestyle standings with a time of 21.37 and place first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 51.60. Troskot helped the 400 free and 200 medley relay teams to first-place finishes.

Men's Diver of the Week
Grant Nel, Texas A&M, Jr., Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Nel remained undefeated in the 2010 fall season, as he captured first-place finishes in the one-meter and the three-meter dives against Indian River and Nova Southeastern with scores of 392.48 and 381.15, respectively. He earned two more first-place finishes against Florida Atlantic in the one-meter (364.13) and three-meter dives (418.80). Nel set a school record of 453.00 in the three-meter dive at the Georgia Tech Invitational for first place, while also finishing first in the one-meter with a score of 362.90.

Women's Swimmer of the Week
Sarah Henry, Texas A&M, Fr., Garner, N.C.
Henry broke the Aggies' school record in the 400 IM at the Georgia Tech Invitational with a time of 4:06.66 for first place, beating the old mark of 4:10.95 by Emily Neal at last year's Big 12 Championships. Henry also earned two first place finishes at the Georgia Tech Invitational with times of 4:41.08 in the 500 free and 16:23.54 in the 800 freestyle relay. Her time of 16:23.54 in the 1,650 free was good for second place.

Women's Diver of the Week
Jaele Patrick, Texas A&M, Sr., Victoria, Australia
Patrick took home first-place honors in the one-meter springboard competition with a score of 315.70 at the Georgia Tech Invitational. She then went on to claim top honors in the three-meter springboard with a score of 376.35.

Men's Swimmer of the Week
