Eleven Qualify for NCAA Diving Championships

Eleven Big 12 student-athletes have qualified for the NCAA Diving Championships. The women's championship event will take place in Austin, Texas (March 17-19) at the University of Texas' Lee and Joe Jamail Swimming Center. The men will travel to St. Paul, Minn. where the University of Minnesota will play host on March 24-26. 

Divers from Texas, Missouri and Texas A&M qualified at the NCAA Zone 'D' Diving Meet in Austin, Texas. On the women's platform, Longhorn teammates Shelby Cullinan and Maren Taylor placed first and second, respectively. In the one-meter event,  Missouri's Loren Figueroa and Texas A&M's Janie Potvin earned trips to the Championships. On the three-meter board, the Aggies' Lorena Lujan will travel to Austin. 

In the men's platform event, David Bonuchi of Missouri and Will Chandler from Texas earned a trip to NCAA's, finishing first and second, repectively. TAMU's Grant Nel and Cam McLean will join Missouri's Danté Jones in St. Paul after qualifying for the Championships on the one-meter board. Big 12 Champion Drew Livingston took first in the three-meter qualifier and will also travel to the NCAA meet.
