Osborn, Johnson Take Home Big 12 Runner of the Week Honors

Oklahoma State’s David Osborn and Baylor’s Rachel Johnson earned Big 12 Runner of the Week honors. It is Johnson’s second weekly award this season. Osborn is the first Cowboy to take home the honor this year.

David Osborn, Oklahoma State, Jr., Chesterton, Ill.
Osborn was the top finisher for the OSU men at the Bluegrass Invite. He took sixth place in the 8 km race with a time of 24:04.71 to help lead the team to a second-place finish.

Rachel Johnson, Baylor, Jr., Plano, Texas
Johnson captured her second-straight meet to open the 2013 season as she won the Iowa Black & Gold Invite on Friday at the Ashton Cross Country Course. Johnson was 2.72 seconds better than her nearest competitor as she covered the 4K course in 13:56.28. Johnson’s finish helped BU take third at the meet. Johnson won the Bear Twilight Invitational to open the 2013 season.
