Ryan Mueller (Kansas State), Jackson Jeffcoat (Texas) and Cedric Reed (Texas) have been named to the Mid-Season Watch list for the 2013 Ted Hendricks Award.

The award is presented annually to a defensive end and is based on the criteria of on-field performance, exceptional winning attitude, leadership abilities, contributions to school and community and academic preparedness.

The list will remain open to additions and deletions until the selection committee completes its first vote on November 25.

Jeffcoat ranks tied for second in the Big 12 and tied for 21st in the FBS in sacks (0.78 per game), while his 14 tackles for loss lead the team and his 51 tackles rank fourth. The senior is also tied for 11th in the FBS in fumbles recovered (0.33 per game). In his career, Jeffcoat is averaging 0.597 sacks per game, which ranks fifth in the FBS on the active career sacks list.

Reed is also tied for second in the Big 12 and 21st in the FBS in sacks (0.78 per game). His 61 tackles and 13 tackles for loss are second on the team, while his 0.44 forced fumbles lead the league and are tied for fourth nationally.
