Donnie Walton, Oklahoma State, So., SS, Tulsa, Okla./Bishop Kelley
Walton helped 18th-ranked Oklahoma State to a 5-1 week that included series wins over Alcorn State and Oakland. The sophomore shortstop hit .500 (12-for-24) with five doubles, a home run and 11 RBI. He tallied 20 total bases and an .833 slugging percentage and also added four walks and a stolen base. Defensively, he recorded 16 assists and did not commit an error. In the series with Oakland, Walton was 8-for-16 at the plate with three doubles, a homer and seven RBI. In a Saturday doubleheader, he went 6-for-10 with a homer, three doubles and five RBI. That included a career-high four hits in the opener and tying a career best with three RBIs in the nightcap. Walton hit safely in all six games last week, extending his career-long hitting streak to eight games. In doing so, he raised his batting average to a team-high .429.
Frank Duncan, Sr., RHP, 6-3, 215, San Francisco, Calif./Stuart Hall
Duncan struck out a career-high 14 batters against Mississippi Valley State last Sunday, helping the Jayhawks to an 11-1 win in the Snowbird Classic. The senior (1-0) threw 92 pitches, 71 for strikes, in seven and two thirds innings of work, allowing just four hits and one earned run to go along with his 14 strikeouts against the Delta Devils.
Those 14 strikeouts were three better than his previous career mark (11) and ranks first in the Big 12 this season. They also move his career strikeout total to 204, which moves him into eighth all-time in the KU record books. Duncan was named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week for his performance.

Ryan Long, Texas Tech, Fr., INF, Crandall, Texas/Crandall
Long batted .500 (6-for-12) with three consecutive multi-hit games to lead No. 28 Texas Tech to a three-game series sweep over Oral Roberts. The freshman tallied two hits in all three games of the series, capping off the weekend with a pair of RBI while also driving in Tech’s first and last runs of its 4-1 series finale win over Oral Roberts. Tech has won six consecutive games – its longest winning streak since 2007. Long went 2-for-4 in the series opener, 2-for-5 in the middle game with an RBI and 2-for-3 with two RBI in the final game of the series. Long tallied a .500 on-base percentage over the three-game series.
