Jason Brunansky (Kansas), Kyle Hunter and Jared King (Kansas State), along with Erich Weiss (Texas) have garnered Phillips 66 Big 12 baseball weekly honors for games of April 4-10, in voting by a panel of media covering the Conference. Jason Brunansky, Kansas, Jr., OF, 5-11, 192, Poway, Calif. (Poway)
Brunansky batted 7-for-13 last week for the Jayhawks, including a 7-for-12 performance with six runs scored and three RBI in KU's weekend series win over Nebraska. The junior was moved up to the No. 2 spot in the batting order and responded by reaching base eight times in 13 plate appearances with six runs scored as Kansas won its third-straight home series. The Poway, Calif.-native collected his first three-hit game on Friday night against the Huskers and then finished a triple shy of hitting for the cycle in Sunday's series-clinching victory, finishing the weekend with three total RBI.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Hunter, Kansas State, Jr., LHP, 6-2, 207, Galesburg, Ill. (Galesburg)
Hunter pitched 7.2 shutout innings to pick up the win over No. 7 Oklahoma on Friday evening. Hunter teamed with closer James Allen to record the first Wildcat shutout over the Sooners since March 31, 1990, while his victory also set the tone for the weekend as K-State won its first series over OU since 2001. The junior notched a season-high in innings pitched and tied his career-high with 119 pitches thrown. He allowed just four hits in 23 at-bats (.174) against a team that entered the weekend with a league-leading .337 batting average. Hunter limited the Sooners to fewer than five hits for just the fourth time this season, improving to 3-2 on year.

King is 12 for his last 25 (.480) with three doubles, one homer and 10 RBI to help KSU earn three wins over top 10 teams in its last four games.
