Three League Squads Ranked in Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll

Three Big 12 baseball squads are ranked in Collegiate Baseball's Fabulous 40 NCAA Division I preseason poll. Oklahoma and league newcomer TCU sit at No. 14 and No. 15, respectively, while Texas earned the No. 21 spot.

The Sooners finished 2012 with a 42-25 record, while TCU ended the season at 40-22. Both teams advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals last season. It was Oklahoma's third Super Regional appearance and marked the Oklahoma's fourth straight season with 40-plus wins. The Horned Frogs also advanced to the Super Regional for the third time overall after winning four games in Regional for the first time in school history. OU closed out 2012 with a No. 13 ranking by Collegiate Baseball, while TCU ranked 16th.

The Longhorns completed the 2012 season with a 30-22 overall record and a 14-10 record in Big 12 play.

In addition, regular-season champion Baylor and Oklahoma States also received votes.

The 2012 Big 12 baseball season begins on Friday, Feb. 15 with conference play kicking off the weekend of March 15.
