Suiter becomes the first Jayhawk to win Player of the Week honors since April 11, 2011. Gray is the Pitcher of the Week, the second Sooner to earn the award this season, while Conley is Tech's first Newcomer of the Week since May 23, 2011. This is the first career honor for all three players.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Michael Suiter, Kansas, So., OF, Kailua, Hawai'i/Punahou HS
Suiter helped the Jayhawks record their first four-game sweep since 2011, going 8-for-14 (.571) with seven stolen bases, five runs scored and two RBI last week against Niagara. The sophomore also walked twice in the four-game series to reach base at a .625 clip against the Purple Eagles. The second-year outfielder extended his team-best hitting streak to 10 games and took over the team lead in multi-hit games (eight). Suiter became the second Jayhawk to steal three bases in a game this season in the series opener and added two steals in each game of KU's doubleheader sweep on Friday. After four weeks of play, Suiter ranks second in the Big 12 in batting average (.438), tied for second in stolen bases (eight) and is tied for third in on-base percentage (.500).

No. 10 Oklahoma rode the arm of junior right-handed starting pitcher Jonathan Gray to a 4-0 victory at No. 12 UCLA last Saturday in Los Angeles. The Sooners posted their first shutout since blanking Baylor, 1-0, in 10 innings on May 12, 2012.
