• Six Big 12 teams begin league play this week, including newcomers TCU and West Virginia. The Horned Frogs will host Kansas, while WVU will travel to K-State. Texas hosts Texas Tech in the other conference series on tap. The TTU-UT series will be shown in full on the Longhorn Network, while entire KU-TCU series will be available on either FSSW+ or FCS.

• Oklahoma is the only Big 12 squad ranked in all four of the national polls this week. The Sooners' highest ranking is No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll. Oklahoma State is No. 24 on the same list as well as in the NCBWA rankings, while Texas is receiving votes.

• Oklahoma State holds a one-game lead atop the Big 12 standings after winning three of its four games last week in walk-off fashion (two in the 10th inning). Seven of OSU's 12 wins this season have come in games in which it has trailed. The Cowboys are in the midst of a 26-game homestand and will not leave Stillwater until April 2 when they visit Norman for a non-conference game with OU.

• K-State head coach Brad Hill became the second coach in program history to register 300 wins at K-State with the Wildcats' win last Tuesday against Niagara.

• Texas Tech's Trey Masek hasn't allowed a run all season - spanning 32 consecutive innings - and hasn't issued a walk in 18 straight innings. He leads the Big 12 in ERA, innings pitched and strikeouts. Additionally, he has pitched 85.2 consecutive innings without allowing a home run. He is one of seven players nationally with a 0.00 ERA.

• Entering the week, Oklahoma's Matt Oberste leads the Big 12 with a 16-game hitting streak and nine multi-hit games. Baylor's Nathan Orf has reached base in 24-straight contests dating back to 2012. Oberste also leads the league in home runs, RBI, total bases and slugging percentage.

• Big 12 teams rank in the top 10 in seven categories nationally, including sacrifice flies (Kansas, 18, first), double plays (Texas Tech, 23, second), home runs (Oklahoma State, 18, sixth), triples (K-State, 10, sixth), stolen bases (Kansas, 44, seventh), batting average (K-State, .321, 10th) and WHIP (TCU, 1.02, 10th).

• Kansas' Michael Suiter was named the Big 12 Player of the Week after going 8-for-14 (.571) with seven stolen bases, five runs scored and two RBI last week against Niagara. Jonathan Gray picked up the Pitcher of the Week honor with his masterful performance on the mound for OU against No. 12 UCLA, fanning a season-high eight over seven scoreless frames to improve to 3-1 on the season. TTU's Devon Conley was named the Newcomer of the Week.
