Grayson Porter (Baylor), Jonathan Gray (Oklahoma) and Jake Barrios (Texas Tech) are Big 12 baseball weekly award recipients for games played March 25-31.

Gray becomes the 13th pitcher to earn three or more Pitcher of the Week honors in a single season. He is the first Sooner to do so. The feat was last achieved twice in 2011 (Taylor Jungmann, Texas, and Ross Stripling, Texas A&M).

Porter, Player of the Week, and Barrios, Newcomer of the Week, pick up their first career weekly accolades.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Grayson Porter, Baylor, Jr., OF, Linden, Texas/McLeod HS
Porter enjoyed a breakout week as he hit .375 (6-for-16) with eight RBI, four runs, two homers, two steals and a double to compile a .813 slugging percentage and .368 on-base percentage. With an RBI in all four games during the week, he started off with a 2-for-4 game on Tuesday against UTSA with a double, run scored and RBI. In Thursday’s series opener against Kansas State, he had a sacrifice fly. On Friday, the junior hit a game-tying two-run homer in the eighth inning and a walk-off two-run homer in the 13th. His 3-for-6 day produced five RBI, two runs scored and a steal. His five RBI were the most by a Baylor player this season. Porter ended the weekend on Saturday by going 1-for-3 with a run scored, RBI, walk and steal.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jonathan Gray, Oklahoma, Jr., RHP, 6-4, Chandler, Okla./Eastern Oklahoma State
Gray tied a career high with 12 strikeouts, going all nine innings in a 12-1 win over Kansas in the series opener last Friday. The junior took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, ultimately allowing just two hits, one run and no walks to improve to 5-1 on the year. He leads the Big 12 in innings pitched (53.2), opponent batting average (.152) and strikeouts (63) while also ranking fourth in ERA with a 1.34 mark.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Jake Barrios, Texas Tech, Jr., 3B, Weatherford, Okla./Seward County C.C.
Barrios was a clutch performer all last week for the Red Raiders as he batted .400 (6-for-15), hitting safely in all four games and recording all five RBI with two outs. His top two performances came in the final two games against TCU. The junior transfer went 2-for-4 with two RBI on Saturday and went 2-for-5 with a three-run triple in the first inning against the Horned Frogs on Sunday. Barrios had a .417 on-base percentage last week with a .533 slugging percentage. He went 1-for-3 with two walks in the first game last week at New Mexico State and opened the TCU series going 1-for-3 with four assists at the third base position.
