Elizabeth Gulick (West Virginia, District 2), along with Kristen Hahn, Alison Landwehr and Jamie Straube (Iowa State, District 6), and Caroline Jarmoc (Kansas, District 7) were named first-team honorees. The five will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
Second-team members include: Haley Eckerman (Texas, District 7) and Erin McNorton (Kansas, District 7).
Gulick, a junior, holds a 4.00 grade point in elementary education. Landwehr, an accounting major, and Straube, a kinesiology major, both carry GPAs over 3.90, while Hahn sits at a 3.34 mark. The trio of Cyclones make up half of the District 6 first team. Jarmoc has a 3.37 GPA as a chemical engineering major.
