Nebraska has claimed at least a share of the Big 12 volleyball championship after sweeping Baylor, 3-0, in Lincoln. The Huskers have posted an 18-1 record in league play (26-2 overall), including a perfect 13-0 home mark, with one match remaining on their regular-season slate.
With tonight's victory, NU has secured a Big 12-leading 12th title (1996, '98-2002, '04-'08 and 2010). The Huskers have earned the conference crown outright nine times and were named co-champions with Texas in 2007 and '08. Kansas State and Texas captured the championship in 2003 and '09.
The Huskers can earn sole possession of the title with a victory at Texas A&M on Saturday. Texas is currently in second-place at 17-2.
The regular-season winner earns the Conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Volleyball Championship. The national selection committee will announce the field of 64 teams on ESPNEWS at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 28.
