Four Big 12 volleyball matches will be televised on ESPNU for the upcoming season, along with one match on FSN, the Conference office announced.

The Big 12's volleyball squads are coming off a season in which they posted the nation's best RPI. Six league teams will be featured between the five telecasts with 2011 regular-season champion Texas making four appearances. Five of the six teams made the NCAA postseason last year.

Three UT road matches will be carried on ESPNU, while the Longhorns' contest against Iowa State at home on Oct. 17 is slated for an FSN telecast. The Cyclones will also be featured on ESPNU when they host K-State on Nov. 14. Texas and Iowa State finished 2011 with NCAA semifinal appearances and second and third finishes in the final RPI rankings, respectively.

Texas, who closed out last season with a No. 4 national ranking, will appear in matches at Baylor (Sept. 25), Oklahoma (Oct. 28) and new league opponent TCU (Oct. 31). The Bears will open their 2012 conference season against the Longhorns in Waco. The ESPNU package slates two back-to-back Texas road matches when the Longhorns travel to Norman and Fort Worth at the end of October.

Additional television appearances are possible through other Big 12 broadcast partners and institutional contracts and will be announced when available.
