Sackett becomes the fourth student-athlete since the Rookie award was established in 2008 to earn both the Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honor in the same week. The feat was accomplished three times in 2011.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK; ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Sackett claimed the MVP of the Mountaineer Invitational after posting 54 kills, 4.91 kills per set, a .371 hitting percentage, six service aces and 23 digs over three matches last weekend. After the opening weekend of play, she leads the Big 12 in kills and kills per set. WVU has not had a player average more than 2.93 kills per set since 2007. She totaled 62.5 points on the weekend and also ranks in the league top-10 in hitting percentage and service aces.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Brummitt, Texas Tech, L, So., Plano, Texas/Radford
Brummitt was named the tournament MVP of the Boston College Invitational last weekend after totaling 68 digs en route to helping lead Texas Tech to its first 4-0 start to a season since 2003. Brummitt, who transferred to Tech from Radford last winter, totaled the most digs among Big 12 players last weekend, while her 4.25 digs per set average ranked fourth in the league. The Plano, Texas-native matched the Tech school record for most digs in a three-set match during Friday night's sweep of Binghamton as she totaled 24, tying a record that had stood 21 years. The record was previously set by Sheila Solomon on Nov. 16, 1990, against Houston. Brummitt was also instrumental with her serve, nailing eight overall and an 0.50 per set average which ranks fifth in the league. Her eight aces were the most among conference players as well.
