Texas, Kansas State and Iowa State remain ranked in the AVCA national poll. The Longhorns remain in the top 10 with a No. 9 ranking, while the Wildcats jumped eight spots to No. 11. It marks the highest ranking for K-State since November 2007. The Cyclones took over Kansas State's ranking from last week, moving from No. 25 to No. 19. The three teams also rank in the top 20 nationally in home attendance.

Kansas State remains undefeated after winning the Golden Hurricane Classic over the weekend. K-State is 12-0 and picked up wins over two ranked opponents - Minnesota and Dayton, who were ranked No. 10 and No. 20 at the time, respectively. Ten of the Wildcats' 12 wins have been 3-0 sweeps. K-State is one of six undefeated teams in the top-25 and one of eight undefeated teams overall nationally.

In addition to K-State's ranked wins, Iowa State knocked off No. 1 Nebraska in four sets in Ames on Saturday. It was the first loss of the season for the Huskers and the first win over a top-ranked team for the Cyclones. NU is 8-2 over its last 10 matches dating back to last season with both losses coming at the hands of Big 12 teams. K-State eliminated the Huskers from postseason playin 2011. For the year, Big 12 teams are 9-10 against non-conference ranked opponents.

Big 12 teams combined for a 20-6 record last weekend and improved to 90-23 against non-conference play.

Although UT and WVU have already played a Big 12 match, the full conference season begins this week with Kansas State at Oklahoma on Wednesday, before four league matches on Saturday. A total of five Conference matches are on tap, along with four non-conference contests.

Oklahoma will be the only league team to have two Conference matches this weekend, facing two of the Big 12's ranked teams. The Sooners will host K-State on Wednesday before traveling to Austin for a match against Texas on Saturday. TCU's first Big 12 match will be against West Virginia in Morgantown on Saturday.

Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Kaitlynn Pelger notched her fourth career weekly honor, while Defensive Player of the Week Kristen Hahn totaled her fifth career honor. Hahn, the Big 12 Libero of the Year last season, garnered the award four times in 2011.

In addition to Kansas State's winning streak, the Bears have posted a streak of nine victorious matches. With a 13-1 mark, Baylor is off to its best start since the 2009 season.
