Eckerman has totaled five career Offensive Player of the Week distinctions and has 10 career awards after earning five Rookie of the Week awards in 2011. The sophomore has the third-most Big 12 volleyball career weekly honors, trailing Destinee Hooker (Texas, 13) and Ashley Mass (Iowa State, 15).
It is the second honor this season for Riley and third of her career after the Jayhawk earned a Rookie of the Week nod in 2010. This marks the second consecutive Rookie of the Week recognition for Doyle.
