For the third time in four weeks, Haley Eckerman (Texas) has been tabbed the Big 12 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Along with Eckerman, Brianne Riley (Kansas) and Julia Doyle (Oklahoma) earned Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

Eckerman has totaled five career Offensive Player of the Week distinctions and has 10 career awards after earning five Rookie of the Week awards in 2011. The sophomore has the third-most Big 12 volleyball career weekly honors, trailing Destinee Hooker (Texas, 13) and Ashley Mass (Iowa State, 15).

It is the second honor this season for Riley and third of her career after the Jayhawk earned a Rookie of the Week nod in 2010. This marks the second consecutive Rookie of the Week recognition for Doyle.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Haley Eckerman, Texas, OH, So., Waterloo, Iowa
Eckerman recorded 43 kills (5.38) while hitting .259 with 35 digs (4.38), two assists, one ace, four blocks and 46.5 points (5.81) in a five-set win at No. 15 Louisville and a 3-0 sweep at home against No. 21 Kansas last week. The sophomore set career-highs with 27 kills and 23 digs in the win on Monday in Louisville. Against No. 21 Kansas, she had only one error while hitting .484 on 16 kills with 12 digs. It was her third straight double-double and moved Texas to 7-0 in Big 12 play on the season. Eckerman leads the league in kills (4.65) and points (5.37).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brianne Riley, Kansas, L, Jr., Naperville, Ill.
Riley set a career-high with 43 digs in Kansas' 3-2 win over Oklahoma on Wednesday night. The 43 digs also marked a season-high for any player in the Big 12 this season. The performance helped KU improve to 5-0 in league play heading into its weekend match against top-ranked Texas. In that contest, a 3-0 KU loss, Riley contributed 15 digs. For the week, she totaled 58 (7.25) and continues to lead the conference with 5.47 on the year. Riley is the only player in Jayhawk history to record 400-plus digs in three different seasons. Riley's 43 digs established a Big 12 single-season record for digs in a five-set match.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Julia Doyle, Oklahoma, S, Fr., Plymouth, Minn.
Doyle notched her third double-double in as many contests when she matched a personal-best 45 assists and added 13 digs in Oklahoma's five-set loss to No. 21 Kansas last Wednesday. In addition, the freshman setter matched an individual match-record for the second time this season, recording four service aces against the Jayhawks to become just the third Sooner in program history to accomplish the feat. Doyle also recorded 32 assists on Saturday against Baylor, giving her 77 (9.62) on the week. She is sixth in the league in assists (9.80) and fourth in service aces (0.37).
