For the second time this season, Kansas has collected two volleyball weekly honors in the same week as Sara McClinton has earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor and Caroline Jarmoc was named the Defensive Player of the Week. Awards were determined based on matches from Oct. 15-22.

This marks the first career honor for McClinton and fourth for Jarmoc, including her second this season. KU has totaled six weekly awards in 2012, including last week's Defensive award, marking the first time the Jayhawks have won awards in back-to-back weeks.

No nominations were submitted for the Rookie of the Week distinction.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sara McClinton, Kansas, OH, So., Omaha, Neb.
McClinton sparked the Kansas offense to a pair of home wins last week, including a 3-1 victory over No. 14 Kansas State and a 3-1 win against TCU. The wins extended KU's school-record home win streak to 12 and gave the second-place Jayhawks a two-game lead over the Wildcats in the Big 12 standings. On Wednesday against K-State, the sophomore cranked out 19 kills and only one error for a career-best .545 attack percentage to help Kansas rack up its second win against a top-25 team this season. McClinton was just as effective against TCU, drilling 17 kills on 35 swings and only three errors for a .400 hitting efficiency. For the week, the Omaha, Neb.-native averaged a team-best 4.50 kills per set and 4.75 points per set.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Caroline Jarmoc, Kansas, MB, Jr., Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Jarmoc posted back-to-back career-high matches against No. 14 Kansas State and TCU last week. With the Wildcats and Jayhawks squaring off as ranked teams for the first time in series history, the junior recorded a career-high 12 blocks en route to her first career double-double (11 kills/12 blocks) in the 3-1 win over the Wildcats. Against TCU, Jarmoc contributed four blocks and also drilled 23 kills (a career-best). She finished the week with 16 blocks (2.00) and 34 kills (4.25). Jarmoc regained the Big 12 lead in attack percentage (.396) and is fourth in the league in blocks per set (1.34).
