Oklahoma’s Maple Repeats as Big 12 Wrestler of the Week

Oklahoma's Kendric Maple has earned his second straight Big 12 Wrestler of the Week award after a 10-0 start to the 2012-13 wrestling season. It is the fifth career honor for Maple.

Maple picked up two wins, both by fall, in a span of three days as Oklahoma took on No. 20 Wyoming and No. 2 Oklahoma State. Although the Sooners dropped both matches, Maple remained undefeated in the 2012-13 season earning his ninth and tenth wins, respectively. Maple kick-started the weekend after he pinned Wyoming's McCade Ford in 1:29 and followed his performance pinning Oklahoma State's Julian Feikert in 5:57. His performances marked the fourth and fifth pins of the season - all in dual competition - and continued a 10-match win streak.
