Sixty Percent of Big 12 Teams Recognized in Preseason AP Poll

Big 12 women’s basketball placed six teams in the Associated Press Preseason Poll with four ranked and two others receiving votes.

No. 10 Baylor tops the list of Conference squads, followed by No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 21 Oklahoma State and No. 23. Iowa State. The same four squads were also rated in the preseason coaches poll.

West Virginia was the first team outside of the rankings, four points from the 25th spot. Texas also received votes in the AP edition. WVU and Kansas State were vote-getters in the coaches poll.

Big 12 teams begin the regular season with a full slate of non-conference games on Friday, November 8.
