PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Isaiah Austin, Baylor, C, So., 7-1, 225, Arlington, Texas/Grace Preparatory Academy
Austin led Baylor to consecutive Big 12 wins for the first time this season as the Bears won at TCU and defeated Kansas State in double-overtime.  The sophomore center averaged 16.0 points, 6.5 blocks, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 35.5 minutes per game.  The top performance came versus K-State, as he had 18 points, nine blocked shots and seven boards, playing a career-high 41 minutes. Included in his effort was a rebound with three seconds remaining which led to an assist on the game-tying 3-pointer by Brady Heslip at the end of regulation.  The nine rejections was one less than the school record.  Austin made 11-of-20 (.550) field goals on the week and was 8-of-10 (.800) from the free throw line.

Perry Ellis, Kansas, F, So., 6-8, 225, Wichita, Kan./Wichita Heights
Ellis averaged 25.5 points and 9.5 rebounds as the Jayhawks dropped an overtime decision at K-State before defeating TCU in Lawrence.  The sophomore forward turned in his top effort against the Horned Frogs, scoring a career-high 32 points on 13-of-15 (.867) shooting.  For the week, he shot 64.3 percent (18-of-28), including 2-of-3 (.667) from 3-point range, while converting 13-of-16 (.813) from the free throw line.  Ellis has four double-doubles this year and has led the Jayhawks in scoring each of the last two contests.

PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Kenny Chery, Baylor, G, Jr., 5-11, 180, Montreal, Quebec/Archbishop Carroll [D.C.]/State Fair CC
Chery recorded the 14th triple-double in Big 12 history and the sixth in Baylor history in the Bears’ double-overtime victory over the Wildcats.  He had 20 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the contest, becoming the first BU player to record a triple-double in a conference game.  It was the seventh for a league player in a Big 12 game, as Baylor players boast a conference-best four of the 14 triple-doubles in the league record book.  For the week, Chery averaged 11.5 points, 9.5 assists and 8.0 rebounds in 33.0 minutes.
