Guards Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State) and DeAndre Kane (Iowa State) are the latest winners of the Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Week. Smart captures a conference weekly honor for the sixth time in his career, while Kane is named top newcomer for the second time in three weeks this season. With an Iowa State athlete winning an award, it marks just the third time in Big 12 history that one school has had at least one weekly accolade each of the first three weeks of the season.
