Fan Experiences Showcase NCAA Men's Final Four Return To North Texas

In 2014, for just the second time in the 76-year history of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball tournament, college basketball's greatest drama will unfold on North Texas soil. The NCAA Men's Final Four will crown a new National Champion at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, with semifinal games tipping-off on Saturday, April 5 and the title game set for Monday night, April 7, 2014.

However, before the trophy is hoisted, nets are cut and "One Shining Moment" is cued, the North Texas region will be treated to a host of fan experiences encompassing affordable and free options, spanning family-friendly activities, autograph sessions, youth clinics and high-profile musical performances, all designed to allow hoops fans of all ages to forge a Final Four memory.

Bracket Town™ presented by Capital One® is the Ultimate Final Four Fan Fest and will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Downtown Dallas, Friday, April 4, through Monday, April 7. The 350,000-square-foot interactive indoor amusement park celebrates the history of the NCAA Division 1 Men's basketball tournament as well as the NCAA's other 89 championship sports. The interactive experience is highlighted by youth clinics, 3-on-3 basketball tournaments, special musical performances autograph sessions and more. The NCAA March Madness® Music Festival, featuring the AT&T Block Party – Friday, April 4 (4-10:30 p.m.); the Coco-Cola Zero™ Countdown – Saturday, April 5 (Noon-9 p.m.); and the Capital One JamFest – Sunday, April 6 (3-10:30 p.m.) is a FREE three-day outdoor music festival at Reunion Park (the former site of Reunion Arena, the site of the 1986 Final Four). The performing acts for the 2014 March Madness Music Festival will be announced in late February. Past performers include Dave Mathews Band, Kenny Chesney, Sting, Jimmy Buffet, KISS, The Black Keys, Muse, Zac Brown Band, LL Cool J and The Kings of Leon, among others. The March Madness Music Festival is a non-ticketed event, with admission into the fenced festival grounds coming on a first-come, first-served basis.

Reese's Final Four Friday® and Reese's® College All-Star Game hits the hardwood Friday, April 4, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Fans are invited to watch each of the Final Four teams go through an hour-long practice (workout times are slated between noon-4 p.m.) then stay for the Reese's College All-Star Game featuring the top senior student-athletes. Admission to Reese's Final Four Friday is FREE.

SLANT, an overwhelmingly successful youth-education program for Super Bowl XLV, will be carried on as the legacy project of the 2014 Men's Final Four. SLANT – which stands for Service Learning Adventures in North Texas – is designed to inspire youth to take up the challenge of improving their neighborhoods and communities in unique and creative ways. North Texas-based Big Thought, creator of the SLANT 45 curriculum and one of the nation's leading nonprofit organizations focused on innovating public education, has been tapped once again to orchestrate and operate the program. The Reese's Final Four Friday SLANT Celebration will be a culminating event that is free for all participants at AT&T Stadium as part of Reese's Final Four Friday. Registration for the program is now open at www.NCAA.com/finalfour. Youth will receive sport instruction from NCAA coaches and student-athletes at Youth Clinics across North Texas. The three locations are TCU (Fort Worth – grades 3-6), Elzie Odom Recreation Center (Arlington – grades 3-8) and Duncanville Field House (Dallas – grades 3-8). The clinics are free, but pre-registration is required at NCAA.com/finalfour.

The Final Four Dribble refreshed by Coca-Cola® gives 3,200 kids the chance to dribble through the heart of the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four activities, along an approximately three-quarters of a mile course, on Sunday, April 6. Participants must pre-register and will receive a free T-shirt, basketball and entry to Bracket Town on that day. Registration will open January 22 at NCAA.com/finalfour.

The Road to the Final Four® 5K presented by Northwestern Mutual hits the streets of Fair Park on Saturday, April 5, and benefits Coaches vs. Cancer. The program is a collaborative effort between the American Cancer Society and National Association of Basketball Coaches. Register online at NCAA.com/finalfour.

In addition, the Tip-Off Tailgate presented by Infiniti will provide ticket holders a pre-game fan experience as they head into the stadium on Saturday, April 5 from 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Monday, April 7 from 4 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Featuring musical performances and other interactive fan experiences, the Tip-Off Tailgate will be FREE to the public Friday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., as a kickoff to the weekend.
