Nneka Enempkali (Texas) and Brittney Martin (Oklahoma State) were chosen as the season's first Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Players of the Week, as selected by a media voting panel for games from Nov. 9-11. Enempkali (player) picked up her second award after receiving freshman honors last season. Martin (freshman) was recognized in her first week of collegiate play.

Nneka Enemkpali recorded her first career double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds in Texas' 70-60 win over No. 14/13 St. John's in the WBI Tip Off Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. The following day, the sophomore forward posted another double-double with a game- and career-high 26 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Hofstra. Enemkpali was named the tournament MVP after connecting on 18-of-25 field goals (.720) and 14-of-20 (.700) free throws.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Brittney Martin, Oklahoma State, G, 6-0, Syracuse, Utah
Brittney Martin made her Cowgirl debut with a 15-point, six-rebound performance in a 90-59 win over Cal Poly. She also dished out three assists to go with a game-high six steals and one blocked shot in 26 minutes of action. Martin connected on 6-of-13 shots from the floor and made her lone 3-point attempt.
