No. 2 seed Baylor and No. 5 seed Oklahoma State will represent the Big 12 in the NCAA Championship regional semifinals. The Lady Bears are making their ninth Sweet 16 appearance and sixth-consecutive. The Cowgirls have advanced to a regional for the third time and first year since 2008.

Big 12 teams have made 47 appearances in the Sweet 16 since 1997, including the two this season. The league has compiled a 15-30 (.333) record from 1997-13.

This marks the sixth-straight year in which the Big 12 has advanced at least two teams to regional semifinals for a total of 15 appearances since 2009.

The Big 12 claimed all seven spots on the WBCA All-Region 5 team with honors going to Odyssey Sims and Nina Davis (Baylor), Hallie Christofferson (Iowa State), Chelsea Gardner (Kansas), Aaryn Ellenberg (Oklahoma), Tiffany Bias (Oklahoma State) and Asya Bussie (West Virginia). The WBCA All-America team will be chosen from the 52 candidates named to All-Region squads.

The Big 12 has two 30-win teams (Baylor - 31 and West Virginia - 30) for just the second time in Conference history.
