Oklahoma State and West Virginia represent the Big 12 in the Soccer America Preseason Top 25, as chosen by the editors of the magazine.
The Cowgirls, who are favored to win the Conference, are ranked No. 10 nationally. OSU won last season's regular season crown and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship for the second straight year.
The Mountaineers are No. 23 in the rankings after producing a 17-5-0 record in 2011. WVU, picked to finish second in the Big 12 by the league's head coaches, will look to make its 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament with 12 newcomers to the squad.
All nine Big 12 soccer teams open the 2012 season on Friday, Aug. 17 with league action slated to begin Sept. 21.
