Big 12 play continues this weekend with four league games slated for Friday and three for Sunday. Three league teams (Kansas, Texas and West Virginia) made it through the first Conference weekend holding perfect records in Big 12 play.
Goals were plentiful in non-conference games last weekend as Big 12 teams scored 17 goals in the four non-conference contests played over the weekend. Over the past two weekends, the Conference has amassed a 16-3-2 record against outside opponents, allowing only 17 goals in those 21 games.
Defensive play continues to be solid throughout the Big 12 as every team is allowing 1.5 goals per game or less. Six of the nine schools are giving up less than one goal per game with Baylor averaging just .42 goals per game. In total, Conference teams have 44 shutouts with BU contributing eight of them.
Baylor still leads the league in all offensive categories, averaging 7.67 points and 2.75 goals per game off of 23.08 shots per game. Iowa State is second in both points and goals per game, averaging 6.42 and 2.33, respectively.
