Five first-team selections headline a group of 18 Big 12 soccer athletes who earned a spot on the 2011 NSCAA All-Central Region team. The 18 honorees are the most for the Conference since 2009.

Big 12 regular-season champion Oklahoma State garnered the most overall and first-team selections as five Cowgirls were honored. First-team members from OSU included goalkeeper Adrianna Franch, defender Melinda Mercado, midfielder Kyndall Treadwell and forward Krista Lopez, while defender Carson Michalowski received a spot on the second team.

The Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Texas A&M’s Kelley Monogue, was the final league representative on the first team. The Aggies had three additional players recognized in Merritt Mathias (second team), Meghan Streight and Beth West (third team).

Kansas placed three on the team, while Texas and Texas Tech each had two. Baylor and Missouri each had one selection.
