Going into the final weekend before Conference play begins, seven league teams still have records of .500 or better.
Defensive play is solid throughout the Big 12 as every team is allowing 1.88 goals per game or less. Five of the nine schools are giving up less than a goal per game with Baylor averaging just .38 goals per game. In total, Conference teams have 27 shutouts with BU contributing six.
Baylor leads the league in all offensive categories, averaging 7.25 points and 2.62 goals per game off of 23.88 shots per game. Kansas is second in points, averaging 6.88 per game with the help of its league-high 17 assists so far this season.
OSU is ranked in all three Big 12-recognized polls this week. The Cowgirls' highest weekly ranking, No. 7, comes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire poll. Baylor and Kansas are receiving votes in the same poll, and KU is also receiving votes in the Soccer Times rankings.
