In its inaugural season, West Virginia claimed the Big 12 soccer regular season crown. The Conference title marks the sixth regular season championship for coach Nikki Izzo-Brown and the WVU soccer program, which is currently ranked at No. 14.
Defensive play continues to be solid throughout the Big 12 as every team's goal against average is 1.26 or less and Baylor's average of .47 is ranked in the top 5 nationally. In total, Conference teams have 56 shutouts with BU contributing 11 of them.
Baylor still leads the league in all offensive categories, averaging 6.28 points and 2.28 goals per game off of 22.56 shots per game. Iowa State is second in the Big 12 in points (105),
goals (37) and are tied with Baylor in total assists (31).
The Big 12 has at least one team ranked in the top 25 in all of the season's 11 weeks and has had multiple teams ranked in the same week nine times. Six teams have received votes at some point this season.
