The two teams are comprised of 72 honorees on the women's side and 26 selections from the three men's squads that compete in the Big 12.
Three West Virginia student-athletes were nominated with 4.00 grade point averages: David Palley, Sloan Storie and Jenelle Zee.
On the women's side, Iowa State and Kansas each paced the field with 16 total honorees. ISU's 16 members all earned first team recognition. For the men, Texas garnered 12 distinctions.
The men's side consists of 21 first team honorees and five second team members, while the women's selections are comprised of 56 first team spots and 16 second team.
TCU (22 total members), Texas (26) and West Virginia (18) are the only three schools to sponsor both men's and women's swimming & diving.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher (either cumulative or the two previous semesters) and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
