
This is the first career honor for all three players. Baylor last swept the Player and Pitcher of the Week in 2012 (Feb. 27 - Logan Vick and Trent Blank) and have accomplished the feat on four occasions (March 14, 2011; March 23, 2004).

Towey paced Baylor to a 3-1 record last week by hitting .500 (7-for-14) with 11 total bases, eight RBI, four runs, three walks, two doubles and a triple while slugging .786 and posting a .611 on-base percentage. In a 5-4 comeback win over No. 29 Pepperdine on Tuesday, he went 1-for-4 with two RBI and reached on a hit-by-pitch. He was named the 2013 Astros Foundation College Classic's Most Outstanding Player after going 6-for-10 with six RBI, four runs, three walks, two doubles and a triple at the weekend event. The senior was 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs, a triple and a walk in the Bears' 9-0 victory over Cal on Friday night. Against Houston, he went 1-for-2 with two RBI, a walk, a run and a double. He closed out his week going 3-for-4 with two RBI, a walk, a run and a double as BU defeated No. 12 Rice, 9-2, on Sunday.
Towey has recorded an RBI in a career-high seven games in which he is 10-for-22 with 13 RBI, five runs, five walks, two doubles, a triple, homer and steal. He ranks second in the Big 12 with 13 RBI through three weeks of play.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Max Garner, Baylor, Sr., RHP, 6-3, Austin, Texas/Lake Travis HS
Garner collected All-Tournament honors at the 2013 Astros Foundation College Classic after leading the Bears to a 9-2 victory over No. 12 Rice on Sunday night. The right-hander tossed a career-high 8.1 innings, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks with eight strikeouts. He shut out the Owls for 8.1 innings before giving up a two-run homer on his last pitch. His 106-pitch effort lowered his season ERA to 2.79 as he has surrendered just six earned runs in 19.1 innings with 17 strikeouts. Garner also pitched 2.1 hitless innings in Baylor's 5-4 win over Pepperdine last Tuesday
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Boomer White, TCU, Fr., DH/OF, 5-8, Houston, Texas/Memorial HS
White played in three games and started two as the Horned Frogs won their weekend road series at Jacksonville. The freshman hit .625 (5-for-8) with four runs scored. Of his five hits, three were doubles and one was a home run. He also posted a slugging percentage of 1.375 and an on-base percentage of .667. In the series opener, White came on as a pinch-hitter and delivered a single. In Saturday's contest, he started as the designated hitter collecting a double and his first career home run, which gave TCU a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning. In the series finale, he doubled and scored the first run of the game before doubling again in his next at-bat.
