
Coming out swinging in the bottom of the first, the Big 12 Player of the Year Amber Flores (OU) homered to left field to put Sooners on the board 1-0. It was Flores’ 16th homerun of the season and second-career at league event to date. Additionally, OU has now hit at least one homerun in each of its last six-consecutive games at the Big 12 Championship.
The Sooners added two more runs in the bottom of the third compliments of Flores and Dani Dobbs, to go up 3-0. OU managed to hold ISU scoreless as the Cyclones were unable to get on the board despite knotching four hits throughout the contest, with a total four runners left on base.
Iowa State ends their season going 26-29 on the year, as OU (39-13) will next face the winner between No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Nebraska beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
