The top-seeded Oklahoma softball team continued its winning ways in the postseason as it topped Texas 10-2 in five innings on Saturday at the Women's College World Series.

The win marks the fifth run-rule win in seven postseason games for the Sooners.

For the second time in the World Series, Oklahoma failed to score first. However, like in Thursday night’s 7-1 win against Michigan, the Sooners answered right back to take the lead.

After Texas plated two runs in the top of the third with an RBI single and bases-loaded walk, Oklahoma responded with six runs of its own in the bottom of the frame.

Sophomore Georgia Casey started the inning with a walk and took second as fellow sophomore Shelby Pendley pulled a single through the right side. The Sooners then got on the board as Ricketts doubled into the right field corner to drive home Casey.

The game ended in the fifth when sophomore Lauren Chamberlain led off with a triple and Casey drove a single to the gap in right field.

Oklahoma moves on to the semifinals, just one win away from a second-straight trip to the WCWS finals. The Sooners will play tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. CT

Texas will face the winner of tonight's contest between Florida and Nebraska in an elimination game tomorrow at 12 p.m.
