OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - In the opening game of the 2014 Women’s College World Series, Baylor fell to Florida 11-0 in five innings at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

Baylor (47-15) now faces elimination Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2 and will face the loser of Oregon and Florida State. The Gators (51-12) earned five extra-base hits in the win and handed Baylor its largest loss since Georgia beat Baylor 14-2 in the NCAA Super Regional round three years ago to the date in 2011.

The Lady Bears hadn’t been run-ruled since the last game of the 2013 season when Baylor was eliminated 8-0 by Texas A&M at the College Station regional.

Baylor’s Whitney Canion had five runs posted on her with two earned over her 3.1 innings of work. The Lady Bears allowed three unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning.
