Talley was the only Big 12 pitcher last weekend with at least 10 innings pitched to not allow a single run, earned or unearned, as she finished 2-0 with a pair of wins over Nicholls State and Texas Southern. The senior left-hander started off the season-opening weekend with a two-hit shutout of Nicholls State where she matched her career high with seven strikeouts over seven innings.
She followed the performance by giving up just four hits over 4.1 innings Sunday afternoon in a 2-0 victory over Texas Southern. Talley ended the weekend holding opponents to just a .154 batting average while striking out 11.
